Saquon Barkley says he’s not skipping Penn State’s bowl game

Last year, top running back prospects Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey made headlines by sitting out of their teams’ bowl games in order to avoid injury and prepare for the NFL draft. Penn State’s Saquon Barkley, the consensus top running back in this year’s draft class, won’t be following suit. Barkley says he plans to play in the Nittany Lions’ postseason action, per Penn Live’s Greg Pickel: Barkley has had a roller-coaster season on the stat sheet, but his skill set should make him a top-10 lock in the 2018 NFL draft. He’s clearly not interested in skipping his last chance to wear a Penn State uniform.
